City Orchestra to hold concerts

The Hong Kong City Orchestra will collaborate with renowned conductors and Chinese musicians in two concerts in September, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced today.

 

The first concert will be held at 8pm on September 17 at Yuen Long Theatre, featuring As the Moon Rises, Scenes of Yunnan and Ambuscade from All Sides.

 

The second performance will take place at 3pm on September 25 at Tai Po Civic Centre. The Orchestra will perform Guangdong Music Medley, TV Themes Suite and Eight Steeds.

 

The concerts will feature renowned musicians including conductor Zhao Xintai, erhu performer Ching Sau-wing, conductor Chan Kwok-fai, sheng performer Chu Man-kuen and guzheng performer Chan Tin-chi.
