The Heritage Museum will extend its opening hours to 8pm on Wednesdays, weekends and public holidays from June 1 to July 11 to allow more people to view the "Claude Monet: The Spirit of Place" exhibition.
The exhibition will be open 10am to 6pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 10am to 8pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Normal tickets are priced at $20, group tickets at $14 and $10 for seniors, full-time students and the disabled (and one accompanying minder). Tickets are half price on Wednesdays.
Since opening on May 4, the exhibition has received more than 73,000 visitors with an average of 3,600 visitors per day.
Featuring 17 artworks, including some of Impressionist master Monet's emblematic masterpieces conserved in French public collections, it is the largest thematic exhibition of his paintings ever held in Hong Kong.
With the aid of audio-visual and multimedia displays, visitors can follow Monet's footprints and feel the natural beauty and spirit of place conveyed by his brushstrokes.
