Youth band to stage annual concert

April 02, 2016

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department Music Office's Youth Symphonic Band will stage its annual concert on May 2 at City Hall.

Guest conductor Koh Chee-kang will lead the band to perform Benjamin Yeo's Legend of the Ancient Hero, while another guest conductor John Cheng will lead Elgar's Excerpt from Pomp & Circumstance Marches, No. 1

The band will also play an array of other works for a wonderful music-filled evening.

The band was formed in 1978 to nurture young musicians and arouse greater interest in symphonic band music in Hong Kong. It currently has 80 members aged 12 to 25, and recruits annually by open audition.

The show will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available at URBTIX.
