The Science Museum has partnered with more than 40 science institutes and organisations to offer more than 120 programmes for HK SciFest 2016 - an exciting integrated science event exploring how deeply science is interwoven with our daily lives.
Curator Ronne Yuen said the museum hopes to raise people's interest in science and technology by hosting interactive activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Through a series of fun experiments, scientific theories are explained in a simple and entertaining way that can be enjoyed by children and adults at the science drama show Feel the Force.
Families can also join the Make a Moisturiser! workshop to learn about formulation science and the chemistry of how an everyday item is made.
Science is not confined to a laboratory. The museum has added a focus series this year under the theme of "Biodiversity & Conservation" for nature lovers who prefer being outdoors.
With the help of local conservation groups, the museum is providing field trips to the Hoi Ha Wan coral community in Sai Kung and butterfly-spotting excursions to Fung Yuen in Tai Po.
The two-month SciFest runs until April 26 and includes several other activities including exhibitions, game booths, competitions, guided tours and science lectures.
