Spanish dance show to be staged

January 29, 2016

Spanish modern dance company Aracaladanza will present Constellations, a piece that combines dance and painting, in March.

Presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the show is a cocktail of vivid colours, shapes and games based on imagery conceived by great Spanish artist Joan Miró in his space-focus work.

Based in Madrid since 1995, Aracaladanza has performed around the world giving over 1,000 shows in the last five years. It is a winner of the prestigious Spanish National Theatre Prize for Children & Youth.

The company performed Nada...Nada in Hong Kong in 2008 to overwhelming response.

Constellations will be staged at 7.30pm on March 25 and 26, and at 3pm on March 26 and 27, at Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre. A workshop will also be held at 11.30am on March 27 at the centre.

Tickets are available at URBTIX.
