Orchestral concerts set

The Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra will perform three Andrew Ling's Music Jukebox concerts in November.

 

Andrew Ling will be the guest conductor, violin soloist, viola soloist and host, while Yip Wai-hong is the music director.

 

The programme includes Rossini's Overture to 'William Tell', Offenbach's Can Can, Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy, 2nd Movement, Schubert's Ave Maria, Mascagni's Intermezzo and Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1.

 

Mr Ling is currently Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra principal violinist and a Baptist University and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts adjunct faculty member. He has conducted Finland's Seinäjoki City Orchestra and is Baptist University Symphony Orchestra's guest conductor.

 

The concerts will be staged at 8pm on November 6 at Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, at 8pm on November 7 at Tai Po Civic Centre and at 3pm on November 8 at Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre.
