The Singapore Chinese Orchestra will perform for the first time in Hong Kong as part of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department's Great Music 2015 series.
Under the baton of its Music Director Tsung Yeh, the orchestra will stage two concerts in October.
The first performance, Ruan Lingyu's The Goddess - A Silent Film Concert will start at 8pm on October 17 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall.
The second concert at 8pm on October 18 at the Cultural Centre, will feature Eric Watson's Mahjong Kakis, Tan Dun's Fire Ritual, Simon Kong's Izpirazione II - Rambutan and selections from Marco Polo & Princess Blue featuring tenor Warren Mok and soprano Wu Bixia, as well as traditional Cantonese music in Thunder in a Drought.
