Tchaikovsky concerts set

August 19, 2015

The Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra will stage two concerts in September, featuring Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D, Op. 35 and Symphony No.5 in E Minor, Op. 64.

Two talented young musicians - guest conductor Lio Kuok-man and violinist Itamar Zorman, will perform with the orchestra.

Praised by the Philadelphia Inquirer as "a startling conducting talent", Mr Lio has been appointed assistant conductor for the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Mr Zorman won the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition and was awarded the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant and 2014 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award.

Presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the Lio & Zorman Tchaikovsky concerts will be staged at 8pm on September 18 at Sha Tin Town Hall and at 8pm on September 19 at Tuen Mun Town Hall.

Tickets are available at URBTIX.
