The City Chinese Orchestra will team with five guest performers for a September concert commemorating the 120th birthday of Chinese composer Liu Tianhua, best known for his innovative erhu work.
The five guests are Hu Bingxu, one of today's most outstanding Mainland conductors, erhu performers Ching Sau-wing, Jin Wei and Gao Yang, pipa performer Yin Yuwen, and violinist Liu Yuxi.
The concert will take place at 8pm on September 19 at Sha Tin Town Hall. Tickets are available at URBTIX.
A pre-concert talk will be held at 7.30pm on September 15 at City Hall. Speakers include Hu Bingxu, Ching Sau-wing, Jin Wei, Gao Yang and Yin Yuwen.
