Local musician Chau Chin-tung will stage a percussion concert in August.
The programme will feature an eclectic mix of Eastern and Western percussion works, including The Doomsday Machine, Ma Mère l'Oye and The Crested Myna Washing, as well as Chau's original compositions One Hundred Years of Solitude, Touch Wood and three premiere works - Chase, The Bustling Fairy Sedan and Bang!.
Others who will also perform in the concert include Mandy Lo, Rieko Koyama, Louis Siu, Raymond Vong, Jason Leung, Chan Wai-hong, Tse Tsz-chung and Mo Chun-pang and the Refiner Drums.
Mr Chau graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he studied Chinese percussion under Ho Man-chuen and Yim Hok-man, and Western percussion under Lung Heung-wing and Shaun Tilburg.
He is currently Hong Kong Sinfonietta's Principal Percussion.
The concert will start at 8pm on August 4, at Sheung Wan Civic Centre.
