The annual Hong Kong Flower Show opened at Victoria Park today.
The Chief Executive’s wife Regina Leung, Legislative Council President Jasper Tsang, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs Betty Fung, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li and other guests officiated at its kick-off.
The show's Hing Fat Street entrance is decorated with a floral farm-themed display of bees, butterflies, cattle and rabbits, while figures representing elegant floral dancers cover an eye-poppingl floral carpet from the Sugar Street entrance.
After sunset, a starlit garden on the park's lawns creates an array of dazzling light beams alternating with music, creating an iridescent starlight fantasia.
This weekend, popular performances will be staged including an entertainment show featuring artistes Alfred Hui, Mag Lam, Ram Chiang from 5pm to 6pm tomorrow, and a dance extravaganza from 3pm to 4.30pm on Sunday featuring the dance director and artists from the movie The Way We Dance and street dancing champions.
Tickets are available at Leisure & Cultural Services Department Leisure Link service points and at the park entrance.
