HK SciFest 2015 opened today at the Science Museum, offering science exploration activities for people of all ages. The event runs until mid-April.
Organised by the museum in collaboration with 26 partners - local tertiary education institutes, science and education associations, museums and government departments - it provides more than 70 activities.
Speaking at the event’s opening ceremony, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li said this year's HK SciFest is suitable for all ages and includes trips to local infrastructural facilities such as an MTR depot, a power station and sewage treatment facilities.
Visitors can also learn about Hong Kong's natural environment through activities such as stargazing. The event offers activities for everyone to explore science in their daily lives, she added.
