Chinese orchestra to perform

The Hong Kong City Chinese Orchestra will stage three concerts in January with Mainland and local musicians.

 

The first concert will be held at 8pm on January 3 at Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre. The orchestra will perform popular classics Flying Apsaras, Drinking Song of the Yi's, Nocturne to the Victoria Harbour, Song of Fishermen in the East Sea and Dream of the Red Chamber Suite. 

 

The second performance will take place at 8pm on January 10 at Tai Po Civic Centre. The repertoire will include The Way to Brightness, Spring Festival Overture, Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon and Dream of the Red Chamber Suite.

 

In the last concert at 3pm on January 18 at Yuen Long Theatre, the orchestra will perform Ambuscade from All Sides, Spring Festival Overture, Dream of the Red Chamber Suite and Listening to the Pines.
