Cinematic Theatre to present new work

September 26, 2014

Local group Cinematic Theatre will present its new production Informer this November, in which a complicated incest case unfolds with four unsettling monologues.

The drama is set in a pent-up middle-class family, exposing the frustration and sense of impotence that some Hong Kong people feel today, the youths’ restless and rebellious acts, and the impact social pressures have on families that struggle to stay together.

Informer is written by Pong Shi-kit and directed by Lo Ching-man. The cast includes Andy Ng, Ceci Chan, Ip Ka-yan and Law Chung-kin.

It will be staged at 8pm on November 14 and 15, and at 3pm on November 15 and 16 at the HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity’s multimedia theatre.

Tickets are priced at $120 and $160 and are available at URBTIX.
