Curtain call:  The Hofesh Shechter Company from the UK will perform October 16 to 18 at the Cultural Centre.

New Vision Arts Festival to open Oct 16

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will hold the seventh edition of the New Vision Arts Festival from October 16 to November 16.

 

The biennial event will feature an array of innovative performances from top arts groups and showcase the creativity of cross-boundary collaboration.

 

Opening the festival will be performances by the Hofesh Shechter Company from the UK from October 16 to 18 at the Cultural Centre.

 

Japan's Saitama Gold Theater will perform November 14 to 16 at Kwai Tsing Theatre.

 

A compelling interpretation of Henrik Ibsen's classic drama Hedda Gabler, directed by British director Adrian Noble and featuring leading Hong Kong theatrical talent, will be held November 6 to 9 at the Cultural Centre.

 

The festival will also feature RICE by the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan, The Kitchen by the Can & Abel Theatres of India, and The Common Cold by the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre.

 

Plus, there will be exhibitions, talks, masterclasses, a backstage tour, meet-the-artist sessions, a Young Critic-in-Residence Scheme, and an outdoor programme.

 

Tickets will be available from September 5 at URBTIX.
