Violinist Andrew Ling and pianist Michael Mak will perform their A Duo Recital show in September, playing French classics from the mid to late Romantic period.
The setlist includes Ernest Chausson's
Poeme, Darius Milhaud's
Cinema Fantasy for Violin & Piano, after Le boeuf sur le toit, and Caser Franck's
Sonata for Violin & Piano in A.
Andrew Ling graduated from Indiana University after studying under renowned violinists Henry Kowalski, Alan de Veritch, and Cho-Liang Lin. He is currently the Principal Violist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
Michael Mak studied piano with Lulu Chiu and Nancy Loo. He is an orthopaedic surgeon and is a solo recitalist and chamber music player with the Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra. He made his debut solo recital with an all-Chopin programme in 2001.
