China Philharmonic (HK) to perform

The China Philharmonic Orchestra (Hong Kong) will perform several Western and Chinese musical works with music director and conductor Lim Kek-han and soprano Sandy Lau in February.
 
The programme will consist of four Western classics: Rossini's Overture: La Gazza Ladra; Bizet's Suite L'Arlesienne; Beethoven's Symphony No.5; and, Strauss' The Blue Danube, plus Chinese songs: Liu Chi's My Motherland; Yang Ming, Jiang Chunyang and Jin Sha's In Praise of the Red Blossoms; and, Wang Xiren and Hu Shiping's Ode to Corals.
 
The shows will be held at 8pm on February 26 at Yuen Long Theatre.
 
Tickets are $140, $110 and $80 at URBTIX.
