49 arrested in anti-burglary blitz

Kowloon West Region Police officers have arrested 49 people and seized stolen goods worth $140,000 in a burglary crackdown.

 

Those arrested were aged between 27 and 52. The suspected stolen property seized includes valuable dried seafood, tonic food and medicine.

 

The number of burglaries in the region has fallen 57%, from 2,395 in 2003 to 1,356 last year.
