137 tickets issued in traffic-day blitz

Police issued 137 fixed-penalty tickets and 86 summonses to motorists and pedestrians for violating traffic regulations during a crackdown in Kowloon East Region yesterday.

 

The 137 officers sent to enforce traffic laws at accident blackspots gave verbal warnings to 170 pedestrians and 24 drivers for minor offences, and issued 186 fixed-penalty tickets for illegal parking.

 

There were 994 traffic accidents in Kowloon East Region from January to June this year.
