Woman killed in Hung Hom accident

Police have arrested a 33-year-old driver after the medium goods vehicle he was driving struck and killed a 33-year-old woman in Hung Hom early this morning.

 

At around 2.30am, the man was driving eastbound along Chatham Road North. Outside No. 271, his vehicle reportedly struck the woman as she dashed from the sidewalk.

 

She was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 3.32am.

 

The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. Kowloon West's special traffic investigation team is following up. Anyone who saw the accident or has information to offer should call the officers on 2773 5200.
