Malaysian woman charged for drug trafficking

Customs officers have charged a Malaysian woman for trafficking 1.5kgs of cocaine worth $1.2 million.

 

She arrived at Hong Kong International Airport from Brazil via South Africa yesterday and underwent a baggage search. Officers found cocaine hidden in a pair of underpants and a paper bag. They also found two packets of cocaine concealed in a pair of sneakers.

 

She was then sent to hospital for further examination and two more pellets of cocaine were found in her body.

 

She will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistracy tomorrow.
