Ex-district councillor admits fraud
*
ICAC

Former Tsuen Wan District Councillor Wu Ki-fook has admitted making $93,000 in false expenses claims.

He confirmed in Tsuen Wan Magistracy today he employed his daughter-in-law as his assistant for $6,000 a month with a year-end bonus of $3,000 between July 2002 and September 2003.

He admitted he falsely represented in the reimbursement forms submitted to the council secretariat that the assistant was not a relative.

Magistrate Andrew Ma adjourned sentencing to April 7 pending background and community service order reports. Wu was released on $5,000 bail.
