Newborn's body found in Central
*
Hong Kong Police

Police are appealing for information after the body of a newborn baby girl was found on a street in Centra this afternoon.

At about 2.45pm today, a 41-year-old woman found the baby girl on the pavement near the junction of Connaught Road Central and Pedder Street.

With the umbilical cord still attached, the baby girl was wrapped in a multi-coloured towel and a black coat inside a white paper shopping bag. She was certified dead at the scene. A post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow.

Anyone with information should contact the Police on 2860 1957 or 2860 1958.
