Young woman dies in Sha Tin van mishap

A 23-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a van as she was crossing the road in Sha Tin.

 

A 27-year-old man was driving the van along Fo Tan Road towards Sha Tin around 10.20am when the accident occurred, at the junction with Min Fong Street.

 

The woman was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.30pm.

 

New Territories South special traffic investigation team is following up. Anyone who saw the accident or has information is urged to call Police on 3661 1300.
