42 tickets issued in traffic day blitz

Police have issued 42 fixed-penalty tickets and 185 summonses to motorists and pedestrians for traffic offences in eastern Kowloon.

 

Yesterday's blitz operation saw 200 officers enforce regulations at accident blackspots. They also issued 35 fixed-penalty tickets for parking offences and gave verbal warnings to 140 pedestrians and 130 drivers for jaywalking and other minor offences.

 

There were 2,249 traffic accidents in eastern Kowloon last year.
