Police have arrested a 50-year-old driver following a traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan in which a 72-year-old woman was injured and later died in hospital.

The man was arrested for dangerous driving causing death after his light goods vehicle struck the woman as she was crossing at the junction of Po On Road and Fat Tseung Street at about 1pm.

She was sent to Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at 3.28pm.
