178 summonses issued in traffic crackdown

Hong Kong Police

Police officers issued 247 fixed-penalty tickets and 178 summonses in a Kowloon East regional crackdown on traffic offenders. They also issued 184 fixed-penalty tickets for parking offences.

 

A total of 118 pedestrians and 96 drivers were warned for jaywalking and other minor traffic offences.

 

Officers also distributed road-safety leaflets.

 

From January to October, 1,881 traffic accidents had occurred in Kowloon East Region.
