Police have issued 169 fixed-penalty tickets and 235 summonses to motorists and pedestrians violating traffic regulations in eastern Kowloon.

The operation, concluding at 11pm yesterday, saw 194 officers enforce traffic laws at accident blackspots. They gave verbal warnings to 154 pedestrians and 33 drivers for minor offences, such as jaywalking, and issued 111 fixed-penalty tickets for misdemeanours like illegal parking.

More than 1,100 accidents occurred in the region from January to June.
