3 arrested for selling fake mobile phones

Customs & Excise Department

Customs officers have arrested three people and seized $130,000 worth of counterfeit mobile phones in a raid on a Kwun Tong distribution company.

 

Acting on complaint from a trademark owner, officers mounted the operation yesterday and seized 126 sets of fake phones and accessories. The 60-year-old male proprietor was arrested.

 

Three more fake phones of the same model were seized in a follow-up raid in Sham Shui Po and a man and woman were arrested.
