The Office of the Telecommunications Authority has welcomed the Court of First Instance's decision to dismiss PCCW's application for a judicial review against the current public-consultation process on fixed-mobile convergence.

The authority will press on with the consultation exercise and study all relevant submissions.

To gauge public views on a proposed market deregulation, the first round of consultation started in 2005. The second round finished last October, netting 21 submissions.
