A Mainland man, who faked a marriage with a Hong Kong resident, has been jailed 18 months by Sha Tin Magistracy.

Chen Wuchang, 26, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud and two counts of making a false representation to an Immigration officer.

Immigration investigators found the defendant at a foot massage shop on January 8. He admitted paying $28,000 to get married in Hong Kong last March so he could get a 90-day visa to find work. He visited the city twice after getting 'married'.
