DVD pirate arrested
*

Customs officers have arrested a 39-year-old man and seized 600 pirated DVDs and computer equipment worth $24,000.

Acting on a copyright owner's complaint, the Anti-Internet Piracy Team investigated the piracy case and, with assistance from an Internet service provider, tracked down the location of computers used to make the fake discs.

The man was arrested when he passed the discs to an undercover Customs officer posing as a buyer in Tsuen Wan MTR station yesterday. Officers then seized 30 box sets of discs from a Yuen Long flat and the computers.
