5 arrested for drug trafficking

Customs officers have arrested five men, aged 23 to 44, in the airport departure hall, seizing 10.5kgs of 'ice' worth $4.4 million.

 

After a week-long operation, officers intercepted two Malaysian men about to board a plane to Jakarta January 7, and seized 3.1kg of ice worth $1.3 million.

 

Yesterday afternoon they intercepted two Taiwanese men who were leaving for Indonesia. About 1.4kgs of ice worth $600,000 was seized. At about 10pm, officers seized from a Hong Kong man, who was about to leave for Cairns, Australia, 6kgs of liquid ice concealed in three seat cushions, worth $2.5 million.
