Seven netted for fake-label pomelo sales

*

Customs officers have cracked cases involving the sale of pomelos with forged trademark labels of a Thailand brand, with 530 pomelos seized and seven people arrested.

In raids against three shops in Kowloon and on Hong Kong Island, Customs officers seized 530 pomelos, worth about $10,000.

Five men and two women aged 24 to 52 were arrested. They are now on bail pending further investigation.

Forged trademark labels of a Thailand brand were put on low-quality pomelos. No syndicate activity is believed to have been involved.
