Town planning delegation visits Japan, Korea
*

A Town Planning Board delegation is conducting a six-day visit to Japan and Korea to study the countries' urban revitalisation, tourism, port development, development of high-tech industries, historical preservation and greening.

Led by Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning & Lands (Planning & Lands) Rita Lau, the group will visit the Osaka City Government and meet with representatives from the Planning & Co-ordination Bureau, the Port & Harbour Bureau, the Office of Urban Revitalisation & Promotion, the Urbanscape Design Department, and the Urban Renaissance Agency.

It will also visit Kobe and Kyoto to learn about their experiences on urban and port development and heritage conservation.

In Seoul, the delegation will visit the Metropolitan Government, Seoul Development Institute, the Digital Media City and the Cheong Gye Cheon restoration project.

The group will return to Hong Kong on June 13.
