Junk Bay cemetery footpath proposed
*

The Chinese Permanent Cemeteries Board of Management has proposed building a footpath linking Junk Bay Chinese Permanent Cemetery with Tiu Keng Leng MTR Station in Sai Kung.

The works proposed include making a permanent footpath linking the cemetery with future footpaths of proposed roads in Tiu Keng Leng, and the construction of a temporary footpath connecting the permanent footpath with Chui Ling Road near the MTR station.

The footpath will be developed into a walking trail with rest shelters, soft landscaping and other ancillary facilities. The temporary footpath will be demolished upon completion of the future footpath of proposed roads.

Details were published in today's Gazette. Anyone wishing to object to the proposal should send the objection, in writing, to the Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong by May 15.
