Leisure & Cultural Services Department

A fleet of parade buses will take part in International Museum Day on May 16 and 17, introducing local museums' missions and functions.

They will be present at the day's opening ceremony and gala show at the Cultural Centre Piazza on May 16 from 2pm to 6pm. Buses carrying performance teams will tour the city from 10am to 6pm on May 17.

More than 100 extension programmes will be provided during the two days by more than 30 museums and heritage institutions from Beijing, Guangdong, Macau and Hong Kong.

They include guided tours of museums and exhibitions, lectures, workshops, demonstrations, children's programmes, video programmes and behind-the-scenes tours. Thirty-two participating local museums will open free during the two days.
