Man ill with Legionnaires' disease

Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a Legionnaires' disease case involving a 74-year-old Wong Tai Sin man who came down with fever, cough and headache on December 2.

 

He was admitted to Kwong Wah Hospital on December 4 and his condition is stable.

 

There have been 11 Legionnaires cases this year, with 16 in 2006 and 11 in 2005. For more information on the disease and prevention tips click here.
