The Aquatic Plant Show is on at Hong Kong Park with more than 1,000 pots of aquatic plants on display at the conservatory and artificial lake until July 8. The 100 species on show include the lotus, giant water lily and water snowflake.
Jointly presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and Institute of Horticulture, the free show offers a rare opportunity for people to appreciate the beauty and ecology of a wide range of aquatic plants, and to enhance their aquatic plant knowledge. It will also help promote horticulture and green consciousness.
Display panels and leaflets on aquatic plants' habits and characteristics, classification, functions and values are available at the show. The conservatory opens 9am to 6pm, and the artificial lake opens from 6am to 11pm.
Talks on aquatic plants and greening workshops will be held in the afternoon on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
