About 800 district celebration activities will be organised to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
They include pyrotechnics displays in Tai Po, Tsuen Wan and at the big Buddha on Lantau Island, float processions, grand parades, carnivals, performance shows, an air-sea-land carnival and countdown variety shows.
Local and Mainland cultural troupes will perform at variety shows and carnivals. A midnight run, a five-a-side soccer competition, and dragon boat races are planned. And the winning entries of the 18 Districts Loveable Sights drawing competition will be selected on June 28.
Eighteen event calendars which set out details of celebration activities have been uploaded to the Home Affairs Department's website.
