*

Food & Environmental Hygiene Department officers have arrested five men and seized 130kg of illicit pork in Sham Shui Po.

Officers today raided two fresh provision shops, at 473B Shun Ning Road and 20 Cheung Fat Street, and a Pei Ho Street Market meat stall.

Those possessing meat for sale that is not of lawful origin face a $50,000 fine and six months in jail.

Anyone who has doubts about meat being sold at retail outlets should call the department hotline, 2868 0000.
