Equal opportunities fund opens
*
Equal Opportunities Commision

Applications for the Equal Opportunities Commission Community Participation Funding Programme have opened, with the first deadline April 16 and the second July 31. The funding cap of each project is $30,000.

The fund, launched in 1996, helps community organisations and schools conduct projects promoting equal opportunities and eliminating family status, sex, marital status, pregnancy and disability discrimination. More than 550 projects have been funded so far.

This year, projects promoting equal opportunities in family status, gender equality and employment, will be accorded higher priority.

Applications should clearly explain how the activities will boost equal opportunities and foster anti-discriminatory attitudes and behaviours. For more details click here or contact the commission's office by calling 2511 8211 or faxing 2877 7600.
