The Hong Kong Space Museum will hold a partial solar eclipse observation session on July 22, from 8am to 11am, to help star gazers view this astronomical event safely.
Museum goers can watch the eclipse using telescopes equipped with a safe filtering system.
The Hong Kong Observatory reminds people not to observe the eclipse directly - either with their eyes or through telescopes - as this can cause permanent damage.
A total solar eclipse occurring on July 22 in China will have the longest duration of its kind in the 21st century. This event will be televised live in the museum's foyer. Admission is free.
A partial solar eclipse with 70% of the sun covered by the moon's silhouette will be visible in Hong Kong.
For more information, visit the museum's website, and the observatory's.
