James Tien has been reappointed Tourism Board Chairman for three years from April 1, while incumbent members Dr Patrick Fung and Peter Lam have been reappointed for two years.
Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Rita Lau said under the leadership of Mr Tien, the board has helped to sustain tourism development as a key economic pillar for Hong Kong and worked with the trade to overcome the challenges brought by the fiscal crisis and the outbreak of human swine influenza.
"I am delighted that the three members have accepted their reappointments, and look forward to working closely with them and other members of the board in getting our tourist industry to new heights," Mrs Lau said.
