BSC granted banking licence

Monetary Authority

The Monetary Authority has granted a banking licence to Bank Sarasin & Cie AG, bringing the total number of licensed banks in Hong Kong to 145. The licence took effect today.

 

BSC is incorporated in Switzerland, with Co-operatieve Centrale Raiffeisen-Boerenleenbank B.A. (Rabobank) being its ultimate holding company.

 

Rabobank Group is the third largest bank group in the Netherlands and the 20th-largest bank group in the world in terms of tier-1 capital.
