Household income up 3.45%

Median household monthly income in the second quarter grew to $18,000, up 3.45% on the same period last year, while the median individual monthly salary rose 5% to $10,500.

 

The Census & Statistics Department's latest household survey found that the number of employees grew 1.8% to 3,532,800. Of them, 1,874,900 are men.

 

The unemployment rate fell to 3.3%, compared with the 4.2% figure recorded in the same period last year. The number of unemployed fell 22.3% to 121,500.
