John Tsang to attend APEC meeting
*

Financial Secretary John Tsang will leave for Australia today to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation's Structural Reform Ministerial Meeting.

 

Mr Tsang will first meet South Australia Lieutenant Governor Hieu Van Le and call on the Premier and the Acting Deputy Premier in Adelaide. He will also speak at the Hong Kong Australia Business Association South Australia Business Awards presentation ceremony.

 

He will have a breakfast meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Australia Zhang Junsai on August 2 before visiting vineyards and wineries around Adelaide.

 

On August 3 Mr Tsang will leave for Melbourne to attend the APEC meeting and hold bilateral meetings with the Asian Development Bank President and the Treasurer of Australia.

 

He will officiate at the pre-screening reception at the Melbourne International Film Festival and address a dinner organised by the Asia Society AustralAsia Centre August 5.

 

Mr Tsang will return August 6. During his absence Secretary for Development Carrie Lam will be the acting Financial Secretary.
