Government spending in the first three months of the financial year amounted to $54.1 billion with revenue of $58.9 billion, resulting in a surplus of $4.8 billion.
The Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau announced today the surplus was mainly due to receipts of $22 billion in land premiums, mainly from auctions and private treaty grants.
Fiscal reserves stood at $374 billion on June 30.
