Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Frederick Ma will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Trade on July 5 & 6 in Cairns, Australia.
The two-day meeting will see trade ministers from APEC economies review and assess the state of the World Trade Organisation negotiations and consider what further action can be taken to bring the Doha round to a successful conclusion.
They will also discuss issues on regional trading arrangements, free-trade agreements, trade and investment liberalisation and facilitation, and trade-related human security initiatives.
