Ignatius Chan reappointed advisory body chairman
*

Ignatius Chan has been reappointed chairman of the Advisory Committee on Human Resources Development in the Financial Services Sector for two years, from June 1.

Mr Chan is a founding member of the committee and has served as chairman since June 2005.

The Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau said that being a veteran in the financial services industry with a strong commitment to promoting manpower development in the sector, Mr Chan has provided invaluable advice and leadership to the committee in implementing initiatives for the training and nurturing of financial talent in Hong Kong.

The bureau is confident that with the continued support of Mr Chan and other members, the committee will continue to play an important role in the strategic development of the financial-services sector's human resources, and contribute to the sustained development of Hong Kong as an international financial centre.

The Advisory Committee on Human Resources Development in the Financial Services Sector is a non-statutory body established in June, 2000, to foster better co-ordination of the efforts between the industry and academia on financial-services manpower development.
